Episode 10: His Best Self

In our tenth episode, Professor Z and Ember hang out in the woods, make a new friend, and learn about why the forest is in a little bit of a state these days. Back at the Palace, Temerity and Oom ponder the fate of King DTF's forced guests and wind up tackling a particularly thorny problem: getting DTF to be his best self.

Episode 9: Bats and Brandy

In our ninth episode, Professor Z and Ember discover the merits of earning a Golarion Scout Badge early in life when they attempt to set up camp. Several hours, a giant bat, and one fight later, they find themselves guests of a mysterious forest guardian. Meanwhile, Temerity and Oom enjoy King Drum Thornfiddle's finest brandy and his juiciest gossip. King DTF is in way over his head: the question is, are we?

Episode 8: King DTF

In our eighth episode, the party and their pal Miv find themselves up against a rube-goldberg machine, an aging academic, and absolutely terrible Stealth rolls. Disguises are worn, dragons are swaddled, and we technically visit our very first dungeon! Oh, and there’s a king named DTF.

Content Notices:

Strong language; potential references to offscreen cruelty to an Awakened Animal as part of character backstory; mentions of combat violence, including violence toward an Awakened Animal as part of combat; depiction of a brief interrogation and a dungeon used to imprision people.

Episode 7: It’s Complicated

In our seventh episode, the party and their pal Miv find themselves encountering the Infernally inclined guardians of King Drum Thornfiddle’s observatory. Things get a little tense, and eventually our heroes flee the scene of their breaking and entering to make room for us to discuss the particularities of Asmodean worship from a multicultural framework. Oh, and it turns out Oom is carrying something secret…

Episode 6: The Observatory

In our sixth episode, the party explores the secret observatory being constructed by King Drum Thornfiddle in collaboration with House Thrune. We accidentally set off an alarm, meet some young folks in plate mail who are passionate about their jobs, Ember plays fetch with a warflail, and Temerity finds a weird mummified hand. Oh, and we learn a little bit about telescopes in the process!

Episode 5: The Bad Clankers

In our fifth episode, the party discusses the ethical implications of monarchy, ponders the difference between reclamation and stealing, and delves into astrological lore. We also explode some things. Fun times are had by all!

Episode 4: The Percussive Exit

In our fourth episode, the party dines at Chez Z and ponders the wisdom of exploding a construct over dinner. Then, we make an excursion into the foothills to spy on a secret observatory, roll terribly, and discover some mysterious metal figures guarding a moonlit path. Everything is fine and dandy, and we’re sure that when we go back we’ll encounter nothing of note on this road to a forbidden observatory!

Content Notices:

Strong language; potential references to offscreen cruelty to an Awakened Animal as part of character backstory; in-universe references to non-traumatic instances of a neighborhood burning down and someone getting stuck in their home for a few days with low food rations. There are also references to forest fires.

Episode 3: Divinations and Dragons

In our third episode, the party seeks information about a passage censored from a book once owned by Orianna Selestine, Ember’s deceased Druid master. We meet a bard named Miv over dinner and are treated to a demonstration of their skill at playing the mountain dulcimer; attempt to connect to our own inner divinitory potential; terrify yet another gnome (this time in a city park); and formulate conspiracy theories about the monarchs of Kyonin and Brastlewark being romantically involved with the same dragon. With minds like ours, who needs tabloids in Golarion?

Content Notices:

Referenced and insinuated offscreen pre-campaign cruelty to an Awakened animal; some swearing and coarse language; light references to romantic and sexual affairs.

Episode 2: The Sandwich In The Library

In our second episode, the party continues to explore the gnomish city of Brastlewark. We invite a young baker to make us lunch in his own home as we discuss the circumstances of his aunt’s mysterious death, get into a fight with a street, ponder why a dragon might want to Awaken a dog, and stumble onto literary censorship during attempted theft. Sounds fun, right?

Content Notices:

Strong language; light combat violence; discussions of offscreen character death; and implied violence to an Awakened animal as part of backstory.

Episode 1: Must Love Dog

In our first episode, the cast of characters come together: a talking dog, a tief-elf, and two gnomes walk into a bakery. There are mysteries afoot well beyond the question of why the dog can talk now, and the fledgeling party is very curious (but very distractible). Will inter-party beef between gnomes derail them entirely before any questions are answered?

(There was a learning curve with our software which resulted in laggy video. Don’t worry, quality significantly improves by Episode 3, and we continue to glow up as we learn more!)

Content Notices:

Insinuated offscreen pre-campaign cruelty to an Awakened animal.
